Russia no longer receives Samsung products

Many tech companies have announced they will stop doing business in Ukraine as a result of the Ukraine war and the sanctions imposed by the West.

Samsung has also decided to halt deliveries to Russia after a number of Western companies did so.

Deliveries to Russia have been halted due to geopolitical developments, the company said on Saturday. The complex situation will continue to be closely monitored.

Samsung is the market leader in mobile phones in Russia, according to Bloomberg news agency. The Asian group represents around 30 percent of the Russian smartphone market.

It announced it will also donate $6 million to provide humanitarian aid in the war-torn region. One million of these funds will go into consumer electronics.
