Snapdragon 888 is Qualcomm's next flagship mobile chipset, slated to be unveiled soon, and Xiaomi's next flagship phone, the Xiaomi 12, could be the first to include the new chip.

In 2021, the Snapdragon 898 will power the best Android phones, according to Android Central.

Online pictures have surfaced of a phone with a Snapdragon 898 chipset, the report said.

A leak suggests that Qualcomm's Snapdragon 898 will have a tri-cluster configuration with a 3.0 GHz Cortex-X2 prime core, three 2.5 GHz Cortex-A710 cores, and four efficiency optimized Cortex-A510 cores.

Compared to the Adreno 660 used in the Snapdragon 888 and 888+, the Adreno 730 GPU in the new chip is expected to offer significant improvements in graphics performance.

The chip is also rumored to have a new X65 5G modem and will be built on a 4nm process.

Xiaomi 12 will be the first phone with Snapdragon 898 chipset, says the tipster.

A Snapdragon 898-powered Motorola phone is also expected to be announced before the end of the year.

It is also likely that Samsung will use the chipset to power its Galaxy S22 line of smartphones, but only in markets like the US and China. The international variants of the Galaxy S22 will most likely be powered by the Exynos 2200.

A media report states that the Snapdragon 898 is likely to be unveiled on November 30.
