Internet access becomes more accessible to seniors in China
A Chinese government official has reported that the government is working to make the Internet accessible to older people as part of the "effort to build a society fit for the elderly".Those are the words that He Yaqiong, director of the Department of Consumer Products within the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said today.
As a result of the Ministry's support - explained the manager - 173 websites and mobile applications have been reprogrammed to improve their intuitiveness and usability.
The IT infrastructure in the country has also been promised more support so that the elderly population will be able to take advantage of the Internet era's benefits.
